Strong Family Highlights:

Elder John Strong came to America on the "Mary and John" in 1630.
Capt. James G. Scott was the Montauk Lighthouse Keeper from 1885 to 1910.
George Gould Strong was a secondary character in "Grey Gardens" (friend and accompanist of Edith Beale) and hosted his own radio program.
Edward M. B. Strong was the curator of "Home, Sweet Home".
William H. Strong was a justice of the peace (1925-1957) and owned the East Hampton Buick dealership (which later became the Mark R. Buick dealership).
Flora Strong hosted her own radio program.
R. Thomas Strong was a Suffolk County Legislator.
Mark R. Buick dealership (formerly the Strong Brothers Garage) was owned by Generosa Ammon, whose husband, Ted Ammon was the subject of the movie "Murder in the Hamptons".
Barbara Borsack is the Deputy Mayor of East Hampton Village.
